VIDEO PRODUCTION
Writer/Director/Producer/Editor
Video projects come across my desk every once in a while. When they do come around, I really enjoy working on them. Currenlty I have been working on indie short films.
Holland America Line
This environmental video project was really interesting to work on. I was contracted to produce a training DVD. I was given a rough script to start with and worked closely with the lead environmental officer at HAL. I was also given an archive of pre-existing video footages and still photos. From there I hired a voice-over actor and a musician to create a score. Here is the intro to the DVD, a few minutes out from about forty minutes long running time.
Holland America Line Environmental TrainingDVM
DVM wanted a 3D motion movie that demostrated how their product worked to help dairy farmers improve their monitoring of livestock. Based on a rough outline, I wrote the script and hired a voice-over actor. From there, I created all the visuals and edited the movie together.

Indie Short Films
"Real Men" was the second short film drama I produced with Randy Harvey. It was also a test to see how well a new camera would perform, the Panasonic HVX-200 shooting on solid state drives. This project was the next level of complexity coming from "Beaver, Perry" which had very little dialogue. "Real Men" had two characters and full dialogue. It's about James (Randy Harvey) and Terry (Brent Myers), two men from very different realities crossing paths to discover a common bond, that when things get tough, you man up, cause that's what real men do. The link below goes to www.vimeo.com. The total running time is around 20 minutes. Warning: Language
"Real Men""Beaver, Perry" was first short film drama I produced. It was a test to see how well the frist camera I bought would perform. It was the Canon XL-1 shooting on mini-DV. I colaborated with an indie film maker, Randy Harvey. We intentionally chose a project that didn't have very much dialogue but still held a griping story. It's about Perry (Andrew Gilkerson) who doesn't really want to be at Saturday detention. So he ditches it to roam around an empty school. He comes across something that would make any body else do the right thing, but Perry, instead, decides to indulge. The link below goes to www.vimeo.com. The total running time is around 20 minutes. Warning: There is a brief moment of nudity.

Indie Feature
"OxyContin Blues" was a feature I helped produced. It was shot under the banner of my studio n2n studio, llc. I shot it on the Panasonic HVX-200 and was a pseudo director of photography. With a crew of 6 people, including actors, we shot 600 gigs of footage over two four day weekends. I edited this little trailer and handed the project over to the director who took it to New York with him to edit the film. The original title was "The Sound of Water" which is what the trailer reflects, but later the title was changed to "OxyContin Blues". Visit the movies website at www.oxyblues.com.
